Ruth was my grandmother. I have so many great memories of her. I remember her winning the lottery when it started and taking us (her gradnkids) shopping. Teri and Tracey found tons of things to buy and I wanted grandma to get herself something. I remember her telling me that what she wanted to get was something for each of us girls that we would like and use. That was what she wanted to do with her winnings. She was always giving to her grandkids. Maybe to much so. She always made sure we had enough to eat and she made sure we got something special for holidays and everytime we visited. She was always singing fun oldie songs. I remember her watching old musicals on tv when i stayed with her. She loved Dean Martin -I sent her a singing birthday gram with a guy singing Dean Martin songs once. I remember she would take me to Grandma Kaiser's behind her house and we would all have snacks. Windmill cookies and milk. Christmas' were simple and nice. I'll miss her dearly.

I knew Ruth through the school. After I got married we purchased her mother's house on Charlotte st. We have lived in the house since 1976. We raised our three girls here and they also went to Roosevelt. May she rest in peace. She was a wonderful person.
