Juanita Morales, 92 passed away peacefully on Thursday March 12, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at Highline Rehabilitation and Care Community.
She was the widow of Jesse Morales. They were married on May 4, 1943 and celebrated 60 years together.
Born in Cameron, TX, on May 5, 1927 she was the daughter of Concha and Francisco Saldivar. Juanita was the 2nd born of 11 children. She was preceded in death by all of her brothers. Ezequiel of Post TX, Cornelio of Lubbock, TX, Gabriel of Mexia, TX, Salome of Amarillo, TX, John of Post, TX, Julian of Rockford, IL and one sister Patricia Mata of Austin, TX.
She is survived by her sisters Hilaria Pantoja of Grandbury, TX, Angela Bustoz of Amarillo, TX, Angelina (Antonio) Rodriguez of Post, TX, and Rosita (Lupe) Perez of Lubbock, TX.
Juanita was a church member of First Spanish Baptist Church in Greeley, CO. As a teen, she gave her life to the Lord and remained a faithful servant all the days of her life. She enjoyed reading her Bible, praying for family, friends & anyone in need, sewing and watching her novelas. But it’s no secret that her two favorite things in life were spending time with her family and eating her sweets. Nothing would get in the way of dessert.
Juanita will be remembered for her unconditional love & guidance, memorable stories, contagious smile & laugh, her special song & dance that all of her grandchildren received, and last but not least, her delicious home cooked meals.
Together, Juanita (Jesse) Morales gave life and love to 11 children. Five sons, and six daughters. She was preceded in death by one son Jesse Morales Jr of Post, TX, and by one daughter Adelida Morales of Greeley, CO. She is survived by her children Richard of Evans, CO, Marty (Marianne) of Henderson, CO, Pete (Thelma) of Dallas, TX, and George (Peggy) of Parker, CO, Martha (James) Gillespie of Denver, CO, Sara (Alfredo) Macias of Commerce City, CO, Rita (Bob) Jaramillo of Evans, CO, Yolanda (Salvador) Hernandez of Pueblo, CO, Amelia Chavira of Amarillo, TX, and Natalie (Dave) Griffin of Rifle, CO. She is also survived by one daughter in-law Janie Morales of Post, TX, 21 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation service is 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday March 18, at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley. Memorial Celebration of Life Thursday March 19, 10:00 a.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home, with interment at Johnstown Cemetery at 12:30pm.
