Emilia C. Sandoval, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2020, at her home in Greeley, Colorado.
She was born on February 23, 1925, in Mora, New Mexico to Celedonio and Eufracia (Alcon) Martinez. On September 7, 1952, she married Jose A. Sandoval. In 1964 they moved the family to Colorado.
Emilia loved to work in her beautiful flower garden and enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She volunteered as an assistant in Kindergarten classes at Cameron Elementary School for numerous years.
Her biggest accomplishment was raising a large family. She taught them all to be strong and independent just like her. She was a dedicated grandma, attending sporting events and other activities that her grandchildren were involved in.
Emilia is survived by her sons: Clarence; Ernest; Eusebio; Marvin; Alfred; Bill and Jesse, and her daughters: Kathy; Elsie; Josephine; Patsy and Bonnie. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; her siblings; her husband Jose; her son Fidel; her daughter Evangeline and a grandson, Clifford.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, at the Adamson Life Celebration Center, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado. A Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 5:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 16 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, Colorado. Interment will at Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley, Colorado.
