Eveline M. (Helmig) Thomas of Greeley, Colorado formerly Linn, Missouri went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2020 in Greeley.
She was born December 8, 1928 in Lane, Missouri to Lewis A. and Matilda “Tillie” (Carwile) Helmig. On January 25, 1948, she married Ray “Babe” Thomas Jr. in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Eveline retired after 26 years at the ASCS Office in Greeley. In 2008 she started volunteering at RVNA. She attended two bible study groups, The Assembly of God and Sherwood Park Baptist Church, where she also was a member and actively attended church. She was known at both churches as an avid Prayer Warrior. Eveline was involved with the White Shrine and a Lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary. She served as a Commander of the DAV Greeley Post in 1970.
Eveline was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and her parents. She is survived by her son, Terry (Sharon) Thomas of Greeley; grandchildren, Patrick (Amanda) Thomas, Melisa (Aaron) Mitchell and Johnathan Thomas; great grandchildren, Hunter, Chloe and Delaney; siblings, Dorothy Coulter and Rosalie Huff and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Thursday, February 13, 2020 with Life Celebration service at 10 am, Friday, February 14, 2020, both at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley, Colorado followed by a reception at Sherwood Park Baptist Church. Additional services and burial to be held in Missouri.
