I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT ADOLF. HE WAS NOT ONLY MY SUPERINTENDENT AT STATE FARM, BUT A FRIEND, MENTOR AND AN ALL AROUND GOOD PERSON. I WANTED TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL BUT MY HUSBAND HAS EPILESPY AND I AM HIS CAREGIVER. HE CANNOT BE LEFT ALONE FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOUR FAMILY, JANE CAMPBELL-HOFF

We wish to share this short message to the family from and unknown author:

Grief never ends, but it changes. It's a passage not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love.

LoRita,

I was so very sorry to hear this. Adolf was truly such a special person who meant the world to me. He made such a difference in my life and my leadership journey at State Farm. At times, he was more like a second dad to me and always had just the right amount of support and advice. Adolf was a positive influence and brought out the best in others. I always appreciated his humor and laugh around the office, but most importantly the way he cared about people. He believed in helping our customers and making the business run well. Always at the heart of it was his genuine caring for people. For you and your family, my heart aches because I know his passing leaves a void where his big personality and love was so important to all of you. You'll be in my prayers for peace and that joy will come back your way in the memories that you have of him. Thinking of you and sending a virtual hug your way. Kaye Hacker

We will certainly miss Adolf, and our condolences go out to Rita and the rest of the family. He was a truly a remarkable man, a mentor, and friend. Adolf was my first supervisor at State Farm (1978) and quickly become someone I admired and would call a friend for many years to come. I will always remember and appreciate the many "fish-the-ditch" trips in Nebraska, as well as the years of "combat tennis" and poker. Our thoughts are with you Rita!
