Obituary

William (Bill) Watson, 67, of Greeley, passed away on August 21, 2019 at NCMC in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Robert Watson II and Kathleen (Lindsay) Watson on May 8, 1952 in Ohio.
Bill was a kind and generous man of faith and worship. He was a spiritual father at the Fusion Ministries International in Greeley. He was “Papa” to the young men and women of the church and was often called Mr. Wonderful by the love of his life, Lori. He was involved in prison ministries, worship, security, maintenance and loved to teach and spread the word of the Lord, releasing the love and healing of Jesus everywhere he went; whether for coffee, pancakes or even trips to the doctor, everyone got an encouraging word and a prayer.
Bill enjoyed variety of music and played numerous instruments, recorded several albums of original music and was a member of several bands over the years. Growing up, he participated in karate and had achieved 5th grade black belt in Texas. He was also a karate instructor. He always had time for friends, family and loved helping people. He enjoyed his favorite treat, which was Founders Favorite from Stone Cold Creamery. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Bill was survived by his wife of 11 years, Lori Watson; son, Zachary (Sherin) Pinter; brother, Bobby (Debbie) Watson; nieces, Alex and Lane, and a large amount of extended family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki, and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William Watson’s name can be made out to Fusion Ministries International in Care of, Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.

Bill was an extraordinary man. He made me feel like I could do anything and encouraged me to try, he helped me find my voice again, believe in music again. He made me feel so loved and worthy of success, not to mention how much he made me laugh. I will forever miss his hugs, comedy, smile, and kind heart. Even though I have an amazing family, Bill will always have a special place in my heart, and Lori as well. There are no words to describe how much I love them both. I just know that Bill is now "crazy wonderful" in heaven.

For 16 years I had an incredible friend!

I met him while he and his band played once a month at a bar in Lafayette Colorado.

little by little we became friends...at one point I found out he taught karate .

I expressed to him my fear of the husband I was with at the time and said that I needed him to teach me how to defend myself so if I get killed, I can at least make the man limp for the rest of his life!!!

he said honey I’ll teach you how to kill him!!

That worked for me!!!

I joined his class and for the next SIX years we literally kicked each other’s butts!!!!
( full contact system of Karate)
in spite of the bruises I had to hide, from then Husband, and broken bones I couldn’t hide, we had a BLAST!!! I threw him through a wall once...after laughing hysterically, I then learned how to do patchwork.

Everyone called him Blade because he was so skinny, when he hit you it felt like you had been cut!!

He became my BEST friend in the world!!

It ended up that during every class we would start the first hour fighting and me learning Kata, or weapons defense but ended up with me teaching him about Jesus!

When I finally tested out six years later...I got my black belt in Shohonsudo Karate and he got SAVED!!!!

My favorite words he ever spoke to me were, “we’re not having class tonight!
I want to know who the Holy Spirit is, how do you get him and WHY do you have to have him?”

After that night he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior!!!

He ministered in the prisons with me, we did some events musically together, he ministered on his own in a nursing home.

Actually, he’s the first person I’ve heard of who had a heckler while preaching!
Some old woman heckling him!
Was a funny story there!!!

At one point he met the woman of my dreams!!

You read that right, I actually had a vision of her and gave him all the details like 2 years before he met her!!!

he didn’t believe me but I got to sing at their wedding ha ha...he believed me then!

She was his PERFECT match in every way!! And THEY began to minister together.

I thought it proper to drop out of his life as she didn’t know me and may not understand our friendship...you know how people can run with a filthy idea if a man and woman are great friends so...

I’ve not seen him for years but my love, respect, honor and pride for him have not faded!!

He had a pure heart, pure intentions, give you the shirt off his back and GUARANTEED you would either spit out a drink or pee a little laughing at EVERYTHING he said!!!!

It BREAKS MY HEART to learn that Blade passed away this morning!
It’s a mixed batch of emotions...

I’m sad I’ll not hear him sing again or laugh at his hijinks, but at the same time, I’m so happy that I was bold in my faith and shared the truth with him because I KNOW he is in Heaven making the Angels laugh now!!!

Please pray for his lovely wife, love of his life!!! Lori Watson.
Only God can give her comfort and peace at this time!

I love you Blade, you were my best friend, my best buddy, tough but Incredable teacher and because of you I didn’t get killed...I became strong enough to LEAVE!!!

Sing loud up there so maybe we’ll hear your voice in the wind.

Your friend,
Loui
