Cleo Mae Giffin, 80, of Greeley, passed away on June 2, 2019 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Alvin and Fern (Haag) Steele on July 10, 1938 in Clearfield, South Dakota.
Cleo attended and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1956 and attended UNC thereafter.
She met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Giffin in 1958 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Greeley.
She worked for the Greeley Tribune for many years as the Ad Manager for the paper.
Cleo enjoyed golfing, camping, watching the Rockies and Broncos. She enjoyed reading her Christian books (living faith). Above all, her top priorities were her faith and her family.
Cleo is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Colleen (Chris) Sophinos, Kelley Kindsfater and Kip (Samantha) Giffin; grandchildren, Nicholas Vitale, Olivia Vitale, Taylor Kindsfater, Dawson Kindsfater, and Charlotte Giffin; her mother, Fern Steele; Siblings, Bob (Natalie) Steele, Dwight (Nancy) Steele, Jack (Ann) Steele, Shelley Steele and Mitch (Leslie) Steele.
Cleo was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial contributions in Cleo Giffin’s name can be made to “Alzheimer’s Research Foundation” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue Greeley, CO 80634.
Life Celebration visitation will be held from 5-7 pm with Rosary starting at 6 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley. Christian Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley. Reception will be held at Adamson Life Celebration Home following the mass on Friday.
