Alfred Mason Martin, 87, of Greeley, passed away on April 18, 2019 in Loveland, Colorado. He was born to Gold Mason and Ellie (Wentz) Martin on December 21, 1931 in Lincolnton, NC.
Alfred proudly served and retired from the US Air Force from 1949 to 1968, before switching to Civilian duties.
Alfred married the love of his life, Frances (Jones) Martin on August 20, 1951 in North Carolina. They were married 67 years prior to his passing.
Alfred loved working with his hands; he built many of his homes in the mountains, where he enjoyed spending much of his time. He loved working on puzzles and playing word games. He enjoyed the outdoors, from camping, to fishing and cabin life. In his early years, he enjoyed bowling and playing baseball. Above all, he loved and adored his family and his faith. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Kevin Mason (Michelle) Martin, Christi Ann (Patrick) Smith, and Scott (Carmel) Martin; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother, Forrest Wayne Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Frances Kiser and Mulvinia Ruth Lovings.

Life Celebration Service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 with visitation starting at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 35th Avenue in Greeley. Burial interment will be held at 10 am, Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue in Denver.
