John “Jack” Logan, 78, formally of Gilcrest, passed away on December 31, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Grover surrounded by family. Jack was born to Wayne and Golda (Merchant) Logan on August 19, 1940 in Denver, Colorado.
Jack proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 180 in Keenesburg, Colorado.
Jack worked as a farm equipment mechanic for 40+ years and specialized in John Deere Equipment. He enjoyed oil painting and woodworking and shared his projects and skills with family and friends. He enjoyed volunteering for the Gilcrest Fire Department and Greeley Train Museum, where he accumulated more than 500 volunteer hours.
Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann Logan; daughters, Debbie (Kerry) Trupp and Dianna (Ryan) Vermeulen; grandchildren, Justin, Kirstie and Ben Trupp, as well as 5 other younger grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Ankrum; Niece, Brenda (Larry) Forgey and a large loving extended family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jeff Ankrum.
Donations made be made out in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home for the American Legion Post 180 in Keenesburg on John Logan’s behalf.
Life celebration will be held at 10 am, Monday, January 7, 2019, at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue in Greeley.
