Obituary for Doral Miller

Doral  Miller
Doral Miller, 96, formerly of Greeley, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside February 18, 2009 in Chandler, Arizona.

Doral was born July 31, 1912 in Muskateen, IA. His family moved to Brighton, CO where he graduated from high school and worked with his family to run the local movie theater. After a few years of college in Greeley he returned to Brighton and in 1938, he married his sweetheart, Dorothy Greenfiled and together they raised two daughters, Janice and Marsha.

Doral worked at Kuner Empson in Brighton as a bookkeeper. In 1954 he moved his family to Greely to become a bookkeeper at King Lumber Company. He then worked for School District 6 in the purchasing and supply department. After retirement he kept very busy volunteering at the school district. He was an avid golfer and was known to many as the #1 fan of all sports at all Greeley schools.

He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Brockish and husband John of Chandler; son-in-law, Lloyd Warren of Edina, MN; brother, Skip Miller of Lakewood, CO and a sister, Marydell Branford of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are four grandchildren and their spouses; 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and never underestimating all his dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2000 and his daughter, Janice in 2004.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of Doral at a Memorial Service Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Adamson Chapel.
