What is Grief?

Grief is the internal thoughts and feelings we have when someone dies.  Mourning is the outward expression of grief.

It is a natural process that follows death. Sadness, denial, guilt, physical discomfort, and sleeplessness are some of the symptoms of grief.  Healing is a process of allowing ourselves to feel, experience, and accept the pain of grief.  Allowing ourselves to accept these feelings is the beginning of that process.
