Life After Loss
Our Life After Loss program is our commitment to helping families in the journey that follows a death by providing information to help them find their new normal in life. This includes a Life After Loss Boot Camp, relevant seminars, field trips and special events; all to help people to move forward.
The Life After Loss Boot Camp - a basic training strategy that includes these topics:
Developing a New Normal
Defining Your Future
Making Peace with All That’s Collected – A seminar to address the concerns of those dealing with the “inheritance” of someone else’s possessions; presented by Gail Newton of Your House in Order
You’re MY Car Now – for those who have inherited the responsibility of a car and don’t know where to begin; whether it is maintenance, repair, buying or selling, there will be some good old-fashioned car care advice from Weld County Garage auto experts.
A Celebration of Memories - This is a Christmas candle light service. Guests are welcome to bring an ornament to place on the Tree of Remembrance. December 6, 2016
Skill Development for the responsibilities that you inherited when your loved one died:
Coping with Cooking – How to cook for one and occasionally cook for company.
Cyber Seniors - Help with technology from those who know it best… young people!
Volunteer Fair – The benefits of volunteering can be enormous. Shifting the focus from “self” to “others” is a positive way to add meaning to your Life After Loss journey. This fair is presented by Marcia Shafer with RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program)
