Obituary for Geraldine R. Brodzinski

Print
After a full and blessed life, Geri Brodzinski crossed the finish line on October 27, 2018 and she met Jesus face to face.
Born in Columbia, SC, on June 11, 1931, Geraldine R. (Davis) Brodzinski was preceded in death by her parents; Lamar and Isabel (Redfern) Davis, her sister Martha, and her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 65 years, "Jiggs" (Gerard). She is survived by her siblings, Cherie and Paul, children Bootsie (Thelma), Debbie, Tom (Linda), and Cathy (Joel), grandchildren Brandy, Jason, and Chris, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and plenty of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mom was living at Grace Pointe in Greeley when she passed. She grew up in Rochester, NY, and also lived in the south for a few years, but more than half of her life was lived in her home in Windsor, where she was an awesome wife and mother. Mom had a love of antiques, a passion for gardening and flower arranging, and an obsession with collecting Hallmark ornaments, both for herself and for the next three generations of her family. She was very gifted at decorating eggs, and she also enjoyed painting ceramics. The fruits of her talents can be found in the homes of family and friends as a lasting memory of her.
Mom was a National Accredited Flower Show Judge. She lectured on flower arranging and horticulture, and taught classes in egg decorating for many years. She also worked at Hergert Land & Cattle for 25 years, maintaining records and purchasing feed.
Mom was very active in the founding of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, from when it was just a few families meeting in a room above the dry cleaners on Main Street in Windsor. Through the years, perfectly arranged flowers from her garden often adorned the alter. And it is at Our Lady of the Valley, now more than 1200 families strong, that we invite you to celebrate her life. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17 at Our Lady of the Valley, 1250 7th Street, Windsor with a reception following.
Memorial gifts may be made to “Our Lady of the Valley” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
