Obituary for Jo Jean Schroeder

Jo Jean Schroeder (Rambo) passed away peacefully at 91, surrounded by her family on August 29, 2018.
Jo Jean was born on August 3, 1927 to Mitt and Sylvia Rambo in Anthony, Kansas. She and her parents moved to Lyons, Kansas in 1938 where she later graduated from High School and went on to attend Colorado Women’s College in Denver, CO. She later married Delmar Schroeder, a childhood friend and classmate, after he returned from WWII, they married on August 25, 1946. She and Delmar moved to Estes Park in 1948 raising their family for the next 36 yrs. They owned The Band Box Cleaners, a coin op laundry, the Estes Park Commercial Laundry, the A&W, and Schroeder and Associates Realty. She was Past President on the Estes Park Board of Realtors in 1983. She belonged to The First Baptist Church, Quota Club, Eastern Star and PEO. After retirement, they moved to Laguna Hills, CA for a short time, then to Pueblo, CO for the next 20 yrs. Jo’s last residence was in Loveland for 2 yrs. She loved the Lord, her family, dogs and her country as evidenced by her passionate patriotism. She enjoyed sewing and spent countless hours documenting the family genealogy.
Jo is survived by her children; Linda Jo Hendren (Bill) of Greeley, CO and Craig Schroeder of Denver, CO; Known as “Gram” to her grandchildren, Arica Lococo (Brett), Shelly Caffey (Jared), Brian Schroeder (Stephanie), Brent Schroeder, Stacy Collas (Ted), Lory Anderson (Eric) and Jay Hendren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; beloved husband Delmar Schroeder in 2006, her parents and great grandson David John Collas.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1PM, Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, CO 81005. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the “Daughters of the American Revolution” or “Gideon’s International Centennial Camp Greeley” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
