Shirley Joan Quimby, 80, of Greeley passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born July 21, 1937 to Walter and Elizabeth (Hartung) Gettman in Greeley.
Shirley graduated from Greeley High in 1955 and on April 29, 1956 she married Clifford Quimby of Prospect Valley. She was a farmer’s wife for 30 years and also worked as a short order cook at Roggen and Bob’s Meat Market in Prospect Valley.
Shirley accepted the Lord Jesus into her life on December 4, 1973 and was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Doreen (Terry) Ehn of Greeley and Cathie Quimby of Cheyenne, WY; two grandsons, Joshua (Sarah) Goode of Louisville and Levi Goode; son-in-law, Duane Blackston of Greeley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; brother, Don Gettman and daughter, Deborah Anne Blackston.
Life Celebration services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10 with visitation one hour prior at Adamson. Reception to follow with interment at 12’noon at Linn Grove Cemetery.
