Cecil Allen Lynch, 86, of Milliken passed away January 6, 2018. He was born January 2, 1932 in Milliken to Albert Ellis and Zenith Marie (Gregory) Lynch, one of nine children, eight who survived to adulthood.

A 1949 graduate of Milliken High School, Cecil proudly served in the U.S. Navy from January 3, 1951 to October 20, 1954, stateside, and in Argentia, Newfoundland, before being honorably discharged. He returned home to Colorado, attending Colorado A&M (CSU) for 2 years.

Cecil and Nancy Kay Mast married on October 5, 1958 in Johnstown. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2012.

He was employed by Great Western Sugar Company, in Johnstown, CO and Goodland, KS, serving many years as Chief Electrician. Cecil and Nancy moved to Denver, CO in 1985, and back to Milliken in 1990. He retired from the City of Westminster where he was an electrician.

Cecil enjoyed fishing, camping, and taught himself ceramics and water color painting. He was a member of VFW Post 2585, Johnstown. Spending time with his grandchildren was the highlight of his life.

Survivors include his children; Jan (Joel) Phillips of La Salle, Greg (Carol) of Milliken, Kaylene (Cody West) Purcell of Greeley and Debra (Bill) Naumann of Maryland, 11 grandchildren; Jerrod, Shavaun, Chelsee, Gregory, Stuart, Alyssa, Loucinda, Travis, Krystal, Sarah, and Rachel. He was also “Papa Great” to 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings; Pearl Fry of Greeley, Elaine (Danny) Gesick of Milliken and Marvin (Nancy) Lynch of Encampment, WY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

An open house will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the VFW Post 2585, Johnstown with military honors at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to “Cecil Lynch” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at adamsoncares.com.
