John David Seelig, 62 of Greeley, CO passed away at NCMC on December 27, 2017. He was born on May 28, 1955 in Driggs, Idaho to David Meredith and Lois Fern (Williams) Seelig where he spent his childhood.
The family moved to Las Vegas where he graduated from Valley High School. He entered the U.S. Navy, serving in the Azores, Iceland and on the USS Nimitz in the Indian Ocean.
John was a truck driver, worked as a computer technician and was a mechanical and digital wizard. He enjoyed going to movies, tent camping and time with family. He was a very handy person and helped family and friends with auto mechanics, carpentry and finish work.
John was a member of the LDS Centennial Ward and participated at the Veterans Administration with a number of their activities and programs.
Survivors include his mother, Lois of Greeley; siblings, Clint (Kathy) of Edgar Springs, MO, Debra (John) Dirksen of Silver City, NM, Lynda (Daniel) Pearce of Mesa, AZ and Steven of Greeley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Angel.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Adamson Chapel. Burial will follow at Victor Cemetery in Victor, Idaho.
