Obituary for Rose May Miller
Rose Miller, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She was born July 22, 1930 to Godfred and Rachel (Fabrizius) Martin, Jr. in Ault, CO.
Mrs. Miller was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She grew up on a farm in the Johnstown area and graduated from Johnstown High School in 1949.
On November 6, 1949 she married Louis Miller at Zion Evangelical Church in Windsor. She farmed with her husband in the Eaton area for 40 years. She worked at Nelson’s Office Supply for 25 years “retiring” in 1995. She then worked part-time at Nelson’s until age 72 when she retired.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor.
She is survived by two daughters, Terry Clayton and Kathy (Fred) Scholfield, both of Greeley; a brother, Godfred LeRoy Martin of Longmont, CO; three sisters-in-law, Judy (Martin) Sundberg of Broomfield, CO, Sue (Martin) Hall of Estes Park, CO and Idabelle Fabrizius of Windsor, CO; four grandchildren, Stacy (Marlin) Wakeman and Michael (Julie) Scholfield, of Greeley, Tiffany (Brad) Meissinger of Eaton, and Brandon (Sarina) Clayton of Greeley; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; sister, Dorothy Wertz; and brothers, William Martin Harvey Martin and Harvey Arthur Martin.
A Life Celebration Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Faith United Church of Christ, 1020 Walnut Street, Windsor with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in Lakeveiw Cemetery followed by a reception at the church.
