Lavona Mae Prescott of Greeley, CO, was born April 27 1929 in Broken Bow NE the daughter of Virgil and Edna (Sickler) Prescott. She attended Broken Bow High School where she met her husband Glenn.
They were married Feb 18, 1948 at Evangelical United Brethren Church. Ranched in Purdum NE until 1954 then they moved to Greeley. Built there home in 1956 where they lived for 59 years.
Lavona was a member of Generations Church (Greeley Wesleyan Church). She worked as a teacher’s aid and in Medical Records at the hospital.
Lavona lived a wonderful life and had the extraordinary ability to see the good in everyone. She enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, her home and yard. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed and is dearly loved.
She is preceded in death by her son Randy, her parents, and two brothers Cledis and Delbert.
She is survived by her husband Glenn, two daughters Cheryl (Greg) Todd and Jane (Terry) Herbst, six grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Lavona's life will be held at a later date.
