Betty “Gwen” Cullup, 91 of Greeley, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Meadowview of Greeley. She was born May 24, 1926 in Long Beach, CA to Charles and Zelma (Ingham) Myers where she grew up and graduated from high school.
She married Ora Cullup, Jr. on July 29, 1950 in Nevada. Ora served in the U.S. Army which took them all over the United States and three tours in Okinawa. The family moved to Colorado and he retired from Fitzsimmons Army Base in 1970. He passed away February 24, 2005.
Betty worked as a photo developing clerk at a drug store for a number of years and then in secretarial jobs as the family moved around. She loved to travel in their motorhome as well as throughout the world. She enjoyed crafting; especially plastic canvas, pottery, painting and counted cross stitch.
She belonged to many crafting clubs throughout the years.
Survivors include her children, Christine “Teen” Bryant of Rapid City, SD, Michael “Mike” (Chris) of Greeley and Charles “Chuck” “Chip” (Angela) of Aurora; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Regina.
Life Celebration services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 with a visitation one hour prior at the Adamson Chapel and a reception to follow. Interment Fort Logan National Cemetery 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017.
