Jeanne Marie Rebik, 62, of Greeley passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at NCMC. She was born November 4, 1954 in Sioux City, Iowa to George Edward and Rita Faye (Shoecraft) Fertig and grew up in Lemars, Iowa.
Jeanne graduated from Lemars Community High School in 1973 and from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Science.
In 1980, she married Daniel Rebik in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They lived in California and Kansas where she worked with the mentally handicapped in a group home and most recently for Boston Financial Services as a financial representative.
Jeanne was a life-long learner, currently registered in an online college course. She loved to read, paint and sculpt, enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, was an unbelievable cook, was a writer, enjoyed varying music genres and was a very social person. She most enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.
Jeanne supported Planned Parenthood as much as possible before her illness no longer allowed her.
Survivors include her mother, Rita Fertig of Branson, MO; children, Jennifer Boyce of Evans and Dawnie Kral of Cedar Rapids, IA; 5 grandchildren, Chris and Cameron Reusch, Chaylin and Cobey Butler and Jessica Kral; siblings, Michael, Byron and John Fertig and Cheryl Primmer as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Robert.
A Life Celebration gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Adamson Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to “Planned Parenthood” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at adamsoncares.com.
