Obituary for Johan Leonard "Jo" Dorman
Johan “Jo” Dorman, 66, of Estes Park, Co passed away October 11, 2017 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado.
Jo was born June 12, 1951 in Troy, NY to John Dorman and Dolores (Roxhford) Davies. He lived in New York until the age of 12 when his family moved to Colorado. He attended school in Estes Park and Aims Community College. He served in the United States Marines in Vietnam from 1970-1971.
He was a Pastry Chef and later in life an Electrician. Jo enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, birdwatching, photography, mycology and Military history. He would wake up and say “how am I going to amuse myself today?” Jo was a “Mountain Man”.
Jo is survived by his children, Wendy (Nick) Bliss of Greeley; Johan (Jen) Dorman of Longmont, Duane (Jenni) Dorman of Greeley; grandchildren, Brook and Leah; his mother, Dolores; and nine brothers and sisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria; father, John; and stepfather, Tom Davies.
Services will be held at a later date.
